1963 penny- Not spotless, still a 56 year old beauty!

    Does it seem polished to you? on top of that, is there "something" wrong with the "L" in liberty? Thank you all!

    If you mean the "L"s closeness to the edge like much of the rest of the legend on the obverse, my guess would be an over worn die. Others with more expertise will likely chime in, but that is what I have seen with worn dies before.

    It appears that the "L" took a slight hit at the bottom.

    the L being close to rim is normal, they modified this around '69, and as chris stated, looks like it took a hit...
