1963 Lincoln Coneca DDO-001

Went to Walgreen last week and pickup a roll of Cents . Found 3 RPMs, which I don't collect and this DDO . My cold has me down, so I didn't put much effort in my full shots ...

I'm seeing machine and deteriorated die doubling, not a true doubled die.

 

Agreed. Sometimes it helps to view the coin from several different angles and perspectives to eliminate shadow effects.

 

The only thing doubled is the date, why all the images on coneca site, I have no ideal ........

 

They're very much into details over there.

BTW: If you're still seeing doubling on your '63, I highly recommend putting it away for a bit and revisiting the issue with fresh eyes and zero expectations.

I once took a stroll to the brink of doubled die insanity with some Washington Quarters. Fortunately, I saw the light and snapped out of it. Unfortunately, the source of that light was a TPG attribution fee fire burning up my cash.

 

I man the coneca table at the local shows with Ken Potter & Jim Motley . I know what they will say, minor DDO ...
