Found this cool coin in the collection but since it isn't a US coin, it's obviously not in my newly acquired red book...

I've searched quite a bit and the information I can find is limited. Most of what I could find is for a coin that is a bit bigger than this one or for auctions that are long since over.

The coin is about 4 grams and slightly larger than a penny. From what I can find on the larger coins, this is a gold coin, about .90 pure.

What is also neat is that I have the envelope that it was sent to my dad in. It has also never been opened and is in the original slip case and plastic wrap.

Would appreciate any information any of you gurus might have and also any indication of value for something like this.

What you have is a Peace Medal commemorating the International Conclave held in February, 1963. You have the gold version. I have one in silver that is 40 mm and 24.19 grams. Note the 1000 below the doves olive branch. That is a purity number.
This is a medal so it is not listed in the catalog of unusual coins.
I am quite sure its value would be solely based on gold melt value.
A truly extreme Kennedy collector might pay more than melt, but he may be hard to find this day and age.
Nice to have original mailer. Hope this helps some.

Thanks for the info. Mine has 900 below the olive branch. Seems like all the gold coins were made this way. The silver ones are all 1000 pure.

I haven't been able to find out who FB was.
