I recently ran across this 1963-D while looking through my quarters, and it has me stumped. There are pieces missing out of the rim, and the reverse has some long marks running across it. It looks like maybe it was struck through some string or other foreign object, or it could possibly just be PMD. Any ideas?

What you have is PMD - Post Mint Damage... not an error
Nice that it's a silver coin though ;)
