Quick question. Doing some CRHing tonight and picked up a 1963 D from my pile and thought this feels heavy. I broke out the scale and it weighs 3.23-24. My scale is accurate, I weighed several other copper/zincs and they were coming in normal. Any thoughts? fake? Other than the rim seeming a more raised than most it looks normal. Thanks
My thoughts on these are usually some end stock problem resulting in thin or thick planchets. Highly doubtful anyone would fake a common date cent.
