    Is this what is called die deterioration?

    Looks like possible corrosion to me. Die deterioration will usually show weak striking. This looks like environmental damage. Jmo

    Looks more like staining to me. For die deterioration, picture a cookie cutter that is getting nicks around the rim.

    Looks like staining on the Rev but corrosion on the Obv.

    Trying to get my vocabulary together so I should have asked if it was corrosion. That's what I meant!
