Yep - another "Coin guy" with a question on a star note.

I got this from a bank teller who knows I collect coins. It is a series 1963 A with a little tear above the "V" in federal reserve.

Anyone have any thoughts on its value?

You would be hard pressed to sell this above face value with that tear.....otherwise, nice pickup.

Even with the tear, it is a keeper in my books. You should give that teller a thank you card/gift..that was nice of her/him to hold that for you.

While the note is otherwise nice, the tear would drop the guide value down to VG max. This would be worth face, or a few dollars over if you're lucky.
