1962D with nice example of doubling. Whether DDO, MD or DDD it is gratifying in a way to find one so crisp and defined.
    Anyway, what does everyone think?

IMHO it looks like MD on the date. Lets see what the experts think.

In early copper, we call that a double profile or chatter strike.

Thanks everyone especially term chatter strike.

Yeah, I like that too, more descriptive than MD

Either way it has no added value.

I felt I had to repeat this, it is not a doubled die, it is MD.

Im with you Bargain! Doubling if it be a DD, MD/chatter, its fun hunting and finding. Its the "prize" to find a true DD but reality is that having appreciation for it all makes it fun for some.
