The range on Ebay for 1962 washington proof quarter is from $4.5 - $12.00 for proof 68. I guess there doesn't seem to be a huge market for these coins and that's why the spread is so high. Unless you're playing the registry game, why buy a slabbed proof coin when you can educate yourself, do a little searching, and buy a ENTIRE 1962 proof set with coins of this quality for $10-15? An Airtite will protect a coin just as well as a PCGS/NGC/ANACS slab, and they're a heck of a lot cheaper and smaller too. I just don't understand...Mike
Registry game The registry game is quite risky. It costs about 16.00 to grade a washington 1962 proof and the selling price typically on auction is $25.00 on average. Including shipping back and forth, it doesn't seem worth it.
