1962 nickel. I know its different but is it worth anything? I'm new at this.

    I dont know if the 1962 nickel is worth bringing it to get looked at. Please help.

    Look at the Reverse side.. It states FIVE CENTS.. that's the value.

    It's circulated. With no extra premium.

    I agree- circulated coin that's only worth it's face value. If it was in MS condition, then it would have a premium.

    I can't truly speak for her, but I'm thinking it's probably the date.
    To most people under 40 , 1962 is a very long time ago, and thus, an old and maybe valuable nickel.

    When I first started collecting, I was putting everything older than 1970 in a 2 x 2.
    Then I wised up.
