I have a 1962 Proof 69 Cam graded by NGC. I noticed that the Lincoln Memorial is shifted upwards and not straight as it should be. The Lincoln portrait is as it should be. I don't know how NGC missed this. Could this be a valuable error?...esp since its a proof. Or could this be a common strike error? I have 4 (1961-1964 PR69 CAMs graded by NGC in the old holders. Two I think are Ultra CAM, super frosty compared to the other two..stunning coins...and one is a 1961. So I'm sending them to PCGS to reholder. Thanks for any info....
More than likely, the person who submitted the coin to NGC did not pay for the Variety Plus service. It happens all of the time for both NGC and PCGS. Some customers either don't know what they're submitting or don't want to pay the extra charge. Chris
