There's a serif on the bottom left side of the 1,the bottom of the 9, the top of the 6 and barely a serif on the right top right arm of the Y. Can't see it too well in the pictures though.
The "line" on the 9 of your coin appears to be a well placed scratch, but maybe.... If you see proper notching/splitting, that's good enough for me. Just to be clear you're not one of them, but I get the biggest kick out of when someone swears up and down they see "split serifs" on coins with sans serif lettering/numbers. Hey, I'm easily amused. You're welcome.
You crack me up!! I too, am easily amused and confused!!! I always say " I'm a blonde. What's your excuse?"
I'm one too.... or, well, used to be anyway. It's the gift that keeps on giving! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Check out this one and need more images to nail it down . http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/1962PDDO020.htm
I saw the notch on the 6 and I think that's what most looks like it's a doubled date. I think you have something.
On mine, if you look at the first T in TRUST, you will see a small die scratch going diagonal on the left of the T. The one on VV there does not have that.
