Is it within its weight of 2.3.
Question is are dimes from 1962 weight 2.206 , 1977 dime wt. 2.25
    1982 d dime wt. 2.316, 1978 dime wt.2.300, 1968 dime 2.234, 1970 d
    wt. 2.222, 1975 d dime wt. 2.290, 1967 wt 2.264, 1965 dime 2.249, another 1982 d dime wt. 2.285, 1973 d dime wt. 2.285, another 1978 dime wt. 2.270, 1990 d dime wt.2.287.
The question is Why does, a 1982 d dime weight 2.316 and a 1978 dime also at wt. 2.300 and my 1962 d dime only weight only 2.206?
are dimes suppose to vary in weight?
    What say you?

Yes. And the same goes for all other denominations.

It shouldn't but it can occur for various reasons. Struck on slightly thicker or thinner than usual Planchets or even circulation wear and tear.

Not a 1962 d dime. The mint mark moved to the obverse in 1965.
In 1962 the d would be on the reverse
