Probably double struck. But wanted to be sure.

The only coins struck more than once are Proof coins. In 1962 proof coins were struck in Philadelphia (no mint mark). Your coin was struck in Denver and has the D under the date. Your coin is not a proof coin.

So then is it a doubled die error? DD errors occur when the working die is made. The working die IS struck twice by the master die ( really a double squeeze). So that when there is a doubling error on the working die ( hence the name doubled die error) that doubling gets transferred to every coin struck by that working die.

So where on your coin do you see the doubling transferred? On the date, the lettering or somewhere else? Also, please provide a clear, in focus, overhead shot of the obverse and reverse of the coin so that we can help you.

Good luck! True DDs are very hard to come by. Most will be PMD or machine doubling which are both worthless but sometimes different enough to make you look twice.

That was helpful! So helpful! Thank you! Didnt know there was a difference between double struck and machine doubling! I will post better pictures as soon as I can. Not sure how great they will be. Using my phone to take them.
