Ok I REALLY hesitate to post this because the odds are not in favor of this being noteworthy. But nothing ventured... I routinely dump my pocket change and leftover bills into a container at the end of the day. Tonight I decided to check out what had accumulated in the last few months. among the zincolns and state quarters I had a 1961 nickel. A very dark looking nickel. I tossed it into the pile heading to a bank’s coin counter. But I remembered reading about the Black Beauties. Curious I looked them up and saw they were 1959 coins. And then I saw there were some posts on this forum where there were some ‘61s. I dug it out of the pile and now present it to you. Black Beauty or the victim of a fire?
Don’t be afraid of posting anything here on CT. You will only learn from it.... yeah there might be some jokes of “funny comments” but at the end of the day. You will learn!! also your coin been in the ground for a long time like furry said!!!
