1961 Dime - Retained Lamination

    Nothing too fancy, but I don’t see lamination too often on silver coins, so I thought I’d share. Feel free to share your (de)laminated coins!

    Nice pretty rare that you find a silver that has a delamination.
    The only one I have is a war time nickel, with a clamshell, split planchet.

    Emptied the piggy bank full of spenders looking for quarters for a parking meter and spotted this. Looked dirty at first but I think it fits here.

    Found in a roll of silver dimes that I bought. I was listing the roll for sale and found it by happy accident.

    Lamination? Are your referring to the spot near the rim at about 2:00?

    Yes, the slightly raised area near the rim. You can see the gap on the angled photo. It’s nothing spectacular, but I have only seen a few lamination errors on 90% silver.
