1961 50c Proof Doubled Die Rev in 1990 Red Book?

    I’d like to know if the 1961 Proof Half with doubled die reverse was listed in the 1990 or 1989 Red Book. I know it was listed in the 1991 book. I’m just trying to determine when it started being listed so I can add the data to my post in the Coin Chat section of CoinTalk.

    I have to say (once again) that is a very nice DDR.
    I have no idea about the date of the listing. Have you considered emailing John Wexler or maybe James Wiles, one of them might know...

    Prior to 1990, there is no mention of the coin.

    The 1990 edition has a notation about the coin at the end of the Franklin half listings.

    The 1991 edition is the first edition where a picture is provided.
