I've noticed the same circular damage on a variety of predominantly 1960's nickels and always been curious as to to cause. The upper coin is the most blatant but can be seen in all three. The damage is always in the same area dispite being minted in different locations. These are just three examples I found today during sorting and I thought I'd give them a go here to finally solve the mystery.
