A couple days ago I received 10 original bank rolls of 1960D bu cents. Some of the coins display a very difficult to photograph double/triple mint marks, which I cannot identify with certainty. Comments welcome. jeankay
Ya know Jack, you are always so darn helpful... By the way, from the 10 rolls of these that I received this past week, there are many other error coins, and at least 113 of these. Yep, I did say one hundred and thirteen. Most of the MM's are nearly without any die markers... maybe early die states. jeankay
I'm jealous! J/K. That sounds like some fun hunting; there's tons of errors for that date. Keep posting pictures of what you find.
I would say you have a triple mint mark shifted south west . I don't know the Rareity rating on that, and i 'm pretty sure there are a lot of varieties for that mint mark, could luck searching. Nice triple RPM congrates Jazzcoins Joe:whistle::whistle:
Thank you everyone. Right now all I can think about is getting these properly attributed. I believe there are about 7 pounds of these mint mark varieties for the 60D, all bu condition. Like the pictures show, the coins are not all the same. After the first of the month I will send a dozen or so to someone for proper analysis. I appreciate everyone's help. jeankay
jeankay, very nice RPM's. Check out coppercoins.com, he has a nice listing of many of the varieties of that date.
Looks to be similiar to the RPM#50 (don't think it's that exact one, but it might be). Congrats on the finds, you'll be working quite a bit to get them all attributed, but it should be fun! :thumb: Phoenix
Thanks tdec and Phoenix. I will check out the 050. As happens, the 10 rolls expanded to 27 rolls of bu coin. Right now I think there are ten pounds of various erros and avarieties. I will get back to you as soon as possible. I appreciate your interest. jeankay
