    What do you think?

Hints - That is a very light field tick above the date - not on slab. It's not that bad in hand, you can barely see it. In fact, it's about the only hit on the whole coin.

MS65. I came across a ton of these in a bank bag, once, all gem, no question.

MS-67 RB great detail I like it. May not be that high but according to my eye appeal (not in hand) it is! Thanks for sharing.

Keep 'em coming! This is what I expected so far. I should have made a poll.

67 RD large date since PCGS doesn't show any graded (67 RB) nice cent.

I think that hit that you can barely see keeps it at a MS-65.

Same here. Doesn’t affect the eye appeal, though. I like the subtle peripheral toning on the reverse.

I bumped my guess up to 66 based on the eye appeal, and the fact I thought a plus grade less likely. (In other words, I saw 65 RD, gave it a slight bump to 65+ for eye appeal, then “rounded up” to 66.)

I have never disagreed so badly with PCGS - they missed the mark IMO!

    67, min 66

There are not 5 points of deductions on this coin IMO.

There are too many of them in that condition, I think it's that simple. When the market is that full-up, the market grade reflects it. An SVDB in that exact technical condition would grade high-gem, there's no question in my mind.

I didn't see any 67's in RB Eddie.
66 was the top. Could be the photos but I don't see the luster needed for a top pop.
It is well struck and nearly contact bag mark free.

I agree totally. However I still think the main thing holding these market grades down is the market is too saturated. I think we see this a lot on Memorial cents. Change the date to an early Wheat and it market grades higher. In my humble opinion, anyway, it's the market influence that's holding these down, not, in a strict sense, technical conditions.

Agree, the reality is the TPG's want to intentionally keep the high grade pops low. Nonetheless, this should have been given a 66 IMO....there are already plenty in that grade.
