I have been trying to find any info on the 1960d DDO business strike nickel. All i can find are the Proof nickels,with the DDO.Does any one know more info about this coin? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.....
Thanks furryfrog02, for the link. I have checked my 1960d nickel to the photos and i notice that my 1960d business strike nickel is different. My coin is very much like the 1960d Proof coins, on the Obverse and Reverse.The devices on my coin, are thick on the Obverse and Reverse it shows notching, and split serifs. Though the notching is mild, on the Obverse, there is no mistaking the thickness on the letters and date.I do believe it has Distended Hub Doubling, even on the star. I know that proof coins has a frosty, mirror look to them, my coin is for sure a business strike. this is why i was asking did any one know of more then the one or two that are out there and are they common. I wish i had the means to send photos at this time, but i dont have the equipment yet, but i will soon."THANKS" again furryfrog02 for your help......
Just tryin to help. Not much else we can do without pictures. If you have a cell phone, you should be able to take decent enough pictures.
