Sorry the pictures are not that great, but you should be able to see that the "L" in LIBERTY is sideways. I am guessing they printed LIBERTY first then put the rim on and that caused the L to end up sideways. What do you think?
The 60's were very prone to "mushing" of the L in Liberty. Cause? I'm not sure but it's very common and not of any extra value. Sorry.
Thanks everyone....I sure do appreciate your evaluation....Think I am going to keep it anyways....Just because it just aint right...Like me sometimes.. I do not think it was run over by a sled cmp9ball...If it was, especially the sled you pictured,I bet there would be more stuff broken than just the "L"
Hey everyone, I have a question....I keep finding pennies that are thicker on one side than they are on the other....Seems really odd....Is this PMD...Getting squished in the coin rolls?... or? This isn't a very good picture ( Sorry...I seem to do that alot ) But I am sure I am not the only one who has run into these pennies.
