So I was roll hunting with my usb microscope, and I came across this 1960 Nickel with doubling on almost every feature. ( I need to put the software for the usb micro on this comp, and I should be able to post pics.) The Cameo, Liberty,, In God We Trust, the date, Monticello, and the words below the building. I know its hard without pics, but im just really excited and want to hear any thoughts.
is it worth sending to NGC or another grading company? I have yet to have a coin graded so I don't know what to do until I check the website. they are fully trustworthy right? at least the "big two"?
Yes, PCGS and NGC are very trustworthy. I don't think you have anything worth grading. Wait for some of the others to check in before tossing it, though.
It's a mix of die deterioration and mechanical doubling. It is not a doubled die. I wouldn't send it to a TPG.
