1960 D With Imbedded Particle

    There is a particle imbedded just behind Lincolns neck. It looks like it came from the mint process. It actually rests in and above the plane of the field.

    Possibly some form of corrosion that has bubbled up.

    You can see the raised distortion around the particle. It looks like it was pressed in.

    It looks like something was on the planchet when it was struck. Nice.

    SamuelFred1 I Guess I'm Kind Of a Decent Member at This Point?

    It has some good colors. I don't know if that is just the light at odd angles, but it looks great.
