1960-D sm ERROR?

    I found this penny the other day when i was helping a friend sort his inherited collection out. Ii don't know a whole lot about pennies or error coins. I did some resaerch and couldnt find anything like this one.


    It looks exactly like the text from the word America but without the M or the A

    it looks pressed in... i'm guessing it didn't come out of the mint that way... but hold on for a second opinion

    Its pressed in, it forms a trench in the coin.
