1960 D Lincoln DDO

    Hey I just found this old 1960 D Lincoln but it is in bad shape. What do you guys think?     That is damage on the Memorial, the obverse shows common MD.
    I think I have said it before. Go buy a certified Doubled Die, you will quickly see the difference.

    As @Pickin and Grinin said above, try to study some real doubled die strikes. The characteristics of yours speak for themselves. The "doubling" is flat almost level with the surface of the coin, whereas a true doubled die would be raised and give the appearance of widening the devices. Also the mintmark was handpunched into the die so when you see the same "doubling" on MM and date you can immediately assume it is mechanical, no added value, doubling.
