looks like there is something going on in the inside of the 9, I have seen this on a few I have found but never got around to posting so I'm curious as well.

That is what I'm wondering? It is very strong, but I cannot get a good picture of it.

There is only one listed on Wexler's site WDDO-001 and this may possibly be it, but there are numerous die scratches to look for as markers. You can see better in hand to do a match up as I do not think you will be able to capture the scratches in a photo for here. Let us know if you find a match after you go there. www.doubleddie.com.

    Oops, it's a 1960 D. Not a 69. I hit the wrong number typing it in.

You will get better responses if you post under a new thread. Post pictures if you can. Any doubling can be possible though.

Here is DDO-1 RPM-100 small date/large date for comparison. Many also feel that an element of die deterioration is also involved, although since the DDO is good, it is ignored. The "1" and the '0' shows that well. The RPM is pointed green. There are 4 different sets of markers depending on the die stage, most of mine are stage 4, including this one, but the major TPGs don't label that.

Mine does not look like that. It looks a little different. It does not have the lines around the numbers. On mine there doesn't seem to be anything wrong The mint mark.

This is normal for that year. I thought it was something too when I started finding them. It is part of the design
