In your third picture, the AM actually appears to me to be wide

There is a. Tiny gap like a close penny. It was not very wide at all. You can barely see it with a 60x magnifying glass.

far as i know, this does not apply to a 1960 cent, only 1992, '98, '99 and 2000, your coin most likely looks that way due to 55 years of circulation and wear....

Ken is right. The only ones to check are 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001 Philadelphia mint coins for wide AM. 1992-P, and 1992-D for close AM. The 1992's are the "big ones" very scarce.

Google cent RDV listings. It will show all the reverse changes to the cent and show the rare ones to look for. Good luck hunting!

Isn't there "supposedly" a 1996 version as well?

I have heard of that too, but I don't know how true it is.

Supposedly it was sent to a 3rd party for verification and was lost. That's the info that I read. Not sure how true it is.

It looks pretty close to me but what makes me think that it is due to general wear and circulation is the fg, notice how it is flat looking spreaded out and touching the memorial? Look up Ken Potter's wide am and close am should take you to his site and there is good info on there

I'll read it when I get home from work. I wish there was a show close to where I live but the next one close to me is in March. I've only been to one and had a blast while I was there, you can learn alot attending shows
