I need some help with this one. I dont recall ever coming across this before.

At first glance i thought it was a lamination...but after closer inspection i am thinking that it initially may have something to do with the collar...i honestly just do not know and am open for interpretation. Any help/info would be appreciated. Note the lines are perfectly straight and show on both the obverse and reverse. They also lay in different directions on each side. They cross the rim on one end but stop at the rim on the opposite side. Also....the collar seems damaged,it shows hairlines and a mark that looks similar to a collar break... 20200414_063718.jpg 20200414_063745.jpg 20200414_063915.jpg LINE.JPG LINE2.JPG LINE3.JPG LINE4.JPG LINE5.JPG LINE6.JPG LINE7.JPG

So, you don't want help. You want someone to support your idea that the collar had something to do with this. How could that be? The collar is a device used to ensure that the coin metal does not flow beyond a specified diameter. If you don't believe that, look up "broadstrike". ~ Chris

This is why I decided not to answer. I was going to give the same response. But things are going to be different with me from now on around here.

My first thought was PMD as you can see metal pushed to both sides.

it does not break alignment whatsoever and is absolutely perfectly straight...even crossing the devices...it does not stray 1 bit IMG_372.JPG IMG_363.JPG IMG_363.JPG

if you think that then send it to a TPG. I agree with others above that it is PMD.

I think you had it professionally examined for free in post #13. Don't worry though, if in the unlikely event that the TPG can't reach a consensus and they need to send to one of their subject matter experts on errors, Fred will get to see it again. :banghead:

Not sure what you mean by 'does not break alignment' ?

The 'line' is straight, goes into the surface of the coin, and
    goes over the rims.
