Do you see the repunched d under the d?? I just learned about this error and this 1959’d looks to have something similar where the letter ends. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks
I do see the similarity with that pic. from the Lincoln resource center not the one you sent me as your link shows more like a full d under the date's d, but the one I posted
Yeah I can see that too. I do believe you have an RPM there, though at this current point in time I couldn't tell you which one. Paging @Rick Stachowski Help me Rick Stachowski you're my only hope.
If capable of doing a photo overlay, this may be more telling than any opinion received here. From just a quick phone comparison they look close but not exact. However this could be the the result of less than ideal photos or even wear.
I will come back with better pictures tomorrow, I don't have a way to maximize the d any more with the resources I have right now. I can see the same error as I posted when I look at it with the loupe but I can't take a perfect pict to show it
I had to look up level and plumb lol, I think I have the idea, thanks I will, I have to go out to find a better loupe
Take a image like this one . You can also keep the whole date in the image too . This will give us placement on both the date and the mint-mark .
The same basic idea in a roundabout sort of way, yeah. Just so this doesn't potentially become confusing to the OP, by square I mean ensuring the camera's sensor is at the same exact angle as the coin's surface as well as centered directly above it. Think of a capital "I" with the upper bar being the sensor and the lower the coin.
