    The scratch is damage. The slight concave shape around the edge through IN GOD WE TRUST is just a worn die. Worth one cent. I like the date, however. That's around the time I first started becoming interested in coins. I remember the first one I was given. I took it to school with me, and I could not understand how my fellow third graders were not impressed by the change in design from the wheat cent!
