I Have in my possession a steel cent dated in 1959 with Philadelphia MM. the Rim has been double stamped over the “L” in liberty. Is this a real thing? (Yes I picked it up with a magnet haha).

Could be steel plated. That could be picked up by a magnet as well. Pictures do help the cause.

Philadelphia never put a "P" mintmark on a cent until 2017. We need pictures to see what you have.

Just hit 'upload a file' and select a picture (or take one if you're on a phone). It's relatively simple.

Posting it in three threads doesn't help, posting pictures does.

Is that a bezel around the coin? It is obviously plated with some material.

Exactly what I was thinking. Plated and put in a bezel and there is no mintmark.

You seem to have gotten it, but you don't have to start a new thread. Also posting full size helps.

Yes. Worth a grand total of 1 cent.

    Still a neat find though.
