I'm fairly new to this stuff, especially errors. I have been looking much closer at some of my wheats and found this one. I would like to get some input on what you guys think about it. The "1" & "9" are clearly doubled and I believe there is also some on the "D". It looks to me like Lincolns chin may also be doubled?

I can not find any formal info on a 1958D Doubled Die (just the 1958 of which Red Book says there are 3!), so I wanted to get some input on the cause and value of this one?

    Thanks for your input!

So is this strike/mechanical doubling? And if so, how would it only occur on a couple of the numbers and not on all of them?

    Thanks

This link may add more help, notice in some of the pis specially the one's wit the arrows, it'll only point out some of the numbers but not all as you can see that, that one number looks untouched. Not sure why this is but what can i say. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/FAQ/machinedoubling.html
