Please help me to figure out what I'm seeing or think I'm seeing. My eyes are bad and I'm taking a photo through Mint Packaging. I'll try to blow up the lettering.

The minor doubling does not appear to be on the coin when I use magnification. It must be something caused by photographing through the plastic or reflecting off the surface. There is a spot and a couple of marks on the coins themselves and the rim does seem to be raised a bit.

The combination of bad eyes and new photography can really fool me.

I just finished searching (100) 1972 Mint sets and that plastic wrap can play tricks.

There does seem to be something happening with the 1 in the date. The wrapping can fool you though...
