I recently aquired over 50 rolls of 1958 P Wheat Pennies. They were purchased in 1958 from a bank, and some are in a sealed hard plastic type of roll, the rest are in paper rolls. All appear to be uncurculated, and in very clean original (red) condition. I am wondering what these coins might be worth on the open market. Thanks!
Welcome to the forum twindallas. Unfortunately, you can't retire on this acquisition. They can be purchased from dealers for $5-10 per roll. Most dealers who don't specialize in wheaties won't buy them at any price unless they have a good idea where they can sell them quickly.
Even a MS65 coin from this year is not worth much of anything...why? They made over 250,000,000 of them! Unless you have coins graded in the MS67 range or higher (very rare), you have $25 worth of pennies. The time and effort to sell them will be difficult and more expensive than they are worth. BTW...a MS67 will be full red luster with absulutely no trace of wear. Maybe a tiny blemish or two only seen under a magnifier and the smallest of marks and/or ticks should exist (bag marks).
