Can anyone tell me whether this coin is an error coin? And if you would please explain your opinion I would appreciate it, as I am a newbie -- one month old (lol).

Someone asked the same question earlier today. Yours might be a Clipped Planchet Error because of the following definition and what I observe on the Reverse of your 50C piece. The Blakesley effect - occurs on most genuine clipped planchet error coins and is characterised by weakness in the rim opposite the clipped end of the coin.

    I agree. Clipped planchet error.

Might seem like it but I kind of see a bit of the effect. The upraised rim kind of lessens a bit across from the clip. Not a big Clip to be seen that well.
