1958 D Lincoln cent

    Common in the condition you have. Not worth grading.

    If you closely look at those first two 1958 D you'll see that they are heavily marked up.
    Although they are shiny. But all those marks they definitely are not AU. But they are shiny and probably cleaned.

    You really have to be very unbiased in looking at coins. Just because they may be shiny doesn't tell you if they have been cleaned or not. You have to look at the surfaces and look at the fine details. Look at what you see, don't just gloss over it because they are shiny.

    Hey, welcome to CT. The reasons for professionally grading and encapsulating coins include 1) to increase their value because of the added assurance of being genuine and 2) to preserve a coin that has meaning for you. For the second reason, you should just buy a slab and do it yourself. For the first reason, the coin should be worth somewhat over $100 dollars because of the expense of professionally grading it.
