1958 Canadian penny with thick letters...common error? Pics included

    Hello everyone. As I was Coin Roll Hunting a box of pennies tonight I found this penny. Its a 1958 and the Last letter "A" in CANADA is a lot thicker then on any of the other 1958's I have checked with tonight. I have included a few pictures for comparison. Please let me know what you think. Is this common?

    Coin in question: The last A is thicker and the N is also thicker on the lower section. Looks like maybe a few other letters are a bit off as well?

    Very nice pictures! My guess would be the "thickened" letters are a result of a worn die.

    Someone has pointed out that there also is a collar strike error below the word CANADA. :thumb:
