hey guys, just dropping by the paper money side to say hello! As the title says,i checked the archives and found these laying around (forgot i had them) i have 5 consecutive Silver certificate Star notes in uncirculated condition, just wondering ball park figure for single sale or obviously i would fetch a couple more dollars together. Also, should i get a seperate holder for these guys or is it ok to leave them like this? i dont have any weight sitting on them if that matters....
The scan is a little small. Are they 1957B series stars? Also, they look pretty decent, so I would gradre them (by scan) to be in the Choice Circulated category. As for storage, I would give them each a separate holder, but as long as you have them stored in a safe place without any movement, they should be fine all together.
couple pics that might be a little better, basically all are this shape, consecutive to each other and are all star notes,
Ballpark is $10-$15 each.....being consecutive is cool, but doesn't add much, if any premium. Nice, clean, bright-white paper with deep blue seals & serials.....I love Silver Certs.
Sorry for the late reply, I had to check with my resources when I got home from work. They look to be Unc to Choice Circulated, so I would go a little higher than Steve and say $15 - $25 each.
I like those as well and I remember getting those for 1.10 as a kid in the local coin shop here... were some of my first purchases with lawn mowing money...
thanks for the replies guys! i figured being consecutive star notes would add a little premium, but im not greedy, i would have been happy if you guys said they were worth $1.01.
They're nice as silver certs, and stars are always nicer. You won't have any problem getting 10x face for each one.
