I have 22 sets of the 1957 Proof Sets. They are in the original envelopes, which are in extremely good condition. Eleven envelopes are unopened. What would these sets be valued at. I have seen them as high as $72.00.
No such thing as sealed sets. The mint originally sent these out unsealed. Perhaps over time the environment that these sets were stored in caused the envelopes to become sealed......
Were found in an estate clean out. Just not coin savvy. Research is leaving me feel dumb about this subject.
That's cool, green 18. Didn't know...That's why I'm here...to get info from those who do know. Thanks.
I think welcomes are in order........Welcome Josie and may we see more of you here on the forums........
My suggestion is that you steam the envelopes open (in order not to destroy them and search the sets for Cameo and Deep Cameo coins. A nice Cameo Franklin Half could sell for more than the entire rest of the lot. Then sell the sets, but DO NOT contend that they are unopened or sealed in any way.
