Seen the BIE variety but have never seen one in the date. Is this legit and is that also a die chip above the number 1?
    Thanks again

Just a die chip on the 9 and possibly a small one above the 1. Nothing out of the ordinary.

It is called a BIE because that's what it looks like LIBIERTY.. It's considered an IDB - Interior Die Break. So is the Die Chip on the 9.
    Your getting there ;)

Awesome coin paddyman. Read online that die chips were somewhat of an issue in 50's but wasn't sure as to varieties or if even considered a variety.
    Thanks everyone.

They aren't varieties. Varieties are catalogued and assigned numbers. Errors are not.

Cool coin cpm9ball, looks like one of those weights people sometimes use to tone arms by lifting or swinging at the gym. See them through window as I was heading to go pick up a dozen donuts from Krispy Kremes...:joyful:

Lol...Idk, my boys liked the movie as did I. I believe the original phrase came out in the 1950's and SNES Smash TV game had it but not sure.
