Hi everyone, Last week I found this item while out metal detecting at a NY beach. It seems to just be the obverse layer of an Argentina 1957 Peso missing the core and the reverse side. Could this be an actual coin and how could this have occurred? There seems to be a bit of soldering at 7:00 shown in picture #001 - pictures #004 and #005 are from the web and how it's supposed to look like. The coin is silver in color I just had bad lighting while taking my pics so the coin looks golden.

I can’t help but I won’t leave you hanging. That is a really weird find.

The second image, where the details are backwards, looks
to be a brockage strike. At least to me.

Funny.. I thought the same for a second when I first found it but unfortunately it is not. It's just the thin clad layer from the Obverse. You ever had a chocolate coin with foil wrapper? When you peel the wrapper off you have the same appearance.

Thanks for posting after so many years!
