Hi Everyone , Just looking through a Coin Book that i just picked up and while checking the coins i found this 1956D with some what appears to be light Doubling either double die or Machine Doubling, I was checking for some referances but could only locate 1956 D/D Mint Mark Varites. Any Suggestion on this coin would be great on your thoughts. Thank You Again 100_4090.jpg 100_4091.jpg 100_4099.jpg 100_4100.jpg 100_4095.jpg

I would say MD. You can notice, it looks like the dies shifted during the striking process, causing the shearing appearance of the metal. With a doubled die, the doubling would have a rounded appearance like the main "S" does. The machine doubling looks like it is, for lack of a better term, smeared. Hope this helps.

Judging by the flatness of the doubling and the shelf-like appearance, I would say MD.
    Keep up the hunt!
