I've owned this for years and notice in the last few years that it has changed. Does anyone know if this is "toning" or "milk spots" or both? Also, do you agree with the grade? Thanks!
I see milk spots on the reverse, but is it a "Bugs BUNNY"? As far as 64 that's just the opinion of a couple of folks at PCGS. You know what they say about opinions.
They are not milk spots. The spots you see on the reverse were caused by some foreign material getting onto the coin. In all honesty, it looks like someone sneezed over the coin, and probably twice from the looks of things. Then with time the spots developed. It's not something that happens every day but it happens far more often than one might think. Over the years I have seen a similar look on coins of many and all kinds.
That doesn't look like a bugs bunny coin to me. On the reverse, the marks in the upper right actually look a bit like a fingerprint on top of a sneeze debris. The temptation to keep coins in slabs or OGP leads to a lot of coins getting "age spots". Buy a coin, acetone dip, then put in an airtite. You can always open an airtite to fix any problems. Sal, as you may know, I resist giving grade assessments based on pics, however, I would say your grade is probably reasonable, albeit, the coin seems to have been contaminated before it was encapsulated. Regarding the "Bugs Bunny" designation, this feature did occur over multiple years, & I have several. However, the "buck tooth"-like appearance is very prominent on all specimens (afterall, that's what makes it the "Bugs Bunny"; Bugs was very popular in the day). I magnified your pic & cannot distinguish this feature at all (maybe it's my eyesight! ). Could it possibly be the wrong coin in the holder? (Like that's never happened before!) How does it look in hand?

Not at all. You should see a coin after it was sneezed on several years later. I see the label reads Bugs Bunny but I’m not seeing it as it doesn’t look like he has buck teeth.
That's a juicy fingerprint gone bad. The "Bugs Bunny" clash is not very strong on some. As it is a clash mark, it likely shows up on several die pairs each year with varying clarity.
