1956 D Wheat Cent Lincoln Has Tongue Sticking Out Better Picture

I Found This Looking At The Wheat Pennies I Have, I Think It Is A Pretty Good Error Never Saw One Like This.
Would This Have Any Value. How Would I Get It Authenticated. Picture 1 Is The Error Penny,
Picture 2 Is The Close Up Of Lincoln's Mouth On The Error Penny,
Picture 3 Is Another 1956 D Without The Error. Thanks For You Time And God Bless.
    Again Great Site

Hmmmm - you could come up with some interesting names for that one !!

I think I'd send it to CONECA first and get their opinion. Then you could send it in to one of the grading companies if you wished.

It doesn't look like an error or variety to me. Most likely post-strike damage, although only a close examination can establish that for sure.

I think I can see a lamination crack from the mouth backwards 45 degrees up.

Looks like a die chip or gouge to me. I'm curious what CONECA will say about it.
