Hello, I have a silver? 1956 D Lincoln cent and cannot find any information anywhere. I know they made zinc pennies in 1943. Any information would be helpful . Thank you, cakelady
Try a search on this thread I have seen a few like this on the forums . It appears that most of the time these coins have been chemically altered or dipped , and in some cases mercury coated I think which can be very dangerous !! I'm sure others might comment on this also . Anyway Good Luck !
