1956 d penny error

found this today it had a big glob stuck on front of coin I thought it been hot be was not sure what took my pocket knife , scape it and big flake feel off well its a new coin under it and advice would be great thanks

A little better. At least I can make out the date, but can you get a clearer sharper photograph? Maybe put more light on the coin? and crop out all the space around the coin before you post it. That lets us see the coin closer.

Well... It's damaged. Some old dried adhesive or other gunk..
Not a Mint Error.

 

what ever it was it protected the coin looks brand new
