as soon as i figure out new cam.i was told it was a cud because the copper line ran from the rim.

Is the raised metal a line or a blob? Please post a photo.

its a long thin line .that runs from double line rim right into the wheat and..a cud from what i know is extra copper coming from the rim.meaning its only worth 2 or 3 dollars to buy it.

    sounds like a die crack

WF, just because it touches the rim does not make it a cud. Die cracks (which is what it sounds like you have) very often touch the rim. Please post a GOOD photo so we can end the speculation.

A raised line is a die crack, not a cud.

Just a common die crack. It will be a cud when that part of the die breaks-off and leaves just a blob of metal in that area.
