1955-S Wheat Penny with gouge by rim???

    I have a 1955-S Wheat Penny with a piece missing on the reverse, could this be a mint error??? wheatpchip.jpg

    Laminations are common on Wheat Cents (De-Laminated)

    Yes, it's a mint error. It's a detached lamination error but on Wheat Cents they are common. A definite keeper.
