Hey guys and gals!!! I wanted to share my newest discovery. It is listed by Wexler as 1955 s/s/s wrpm-001. He states that it is quite scarce. Also has a nice listed value. So this one with a strike through on the reverse is very exciting for me!! Possibly struck through a struck fragment? 20190120_173948.jpg 20190120_170948.jpg 20190120_170052.jpg 20190120_171033.jpg you can see an o to the north east of the o in of. It is quite deep and the details remain intact. Thanks for looking!!!

Very awesome coin. Variety and an Error. Your first photo of the obverse is a bit blurred. Is there design weakness at the back of Lincoln's head opposite the defect on the reverse?

It must have been Struck-through a soft material to allow the design to transfer though it. Very interesting indeed. The unc/ms grade is a big plus too.

    The D/D/D is really cool!

You said that this anomaly is fairly deep, but there are no elements of the reverse die that are deep enough to make such an impression. I'm not so sure that it is a strikethrough caused by a design element. It may have been caused by some oddball piece of debris that fell on the planchet.

Possibly, but the letters do appear to be weakly struck.

To me I can see a piece of metal from the previous struck coin releasing from said coin( as in a lamination) and sticking to the die and then this coin being struck-through that piece. This may be the cause of the twin "O" in OF.

How/where did you manage to find those? What great examples and in pristine condition.
